Alexander (Sandy), the last of the Hewitt family to be born into the 6th generation of the John Deere line grew up in Illinois. He earned his bachelor's degree from Knox College in 1981 and went on to work for Chase Manhattan in New York. Sandy has been the principal, officer and/or director for several entities within the Sheridan Group of companies, a real estate group that he formed in Denver, Colorado. Sandy has also served as vice chairman of AmeriVest Properties, a publicly traded REIT. He serves on the board of Junior Achievement - Rocky Mountain Region. Sandy resides in Denver. Anna is a 6th generation descendent of John Deere. She graduated cum laude from Yale University in 1977. She spent several years as Congressman Tom Railsback's chief legislative assistant following graduation. Anna is the president of Amisdad Cattle Company, her working ranch in New Mexico. She also is president of The Mandala Center, a not-for-profit organization that she founded in 1996 in northeastern New Mexico. In addition she serves on the board of the Butterworth Trust. Anna and her husband Joseph currently live in New Mexico. They have three children. Bill splits his time between Colorado, California, and Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University in 1971. In the early 80's Bill founded Watkins Pacific Company which eventually grew to one of the largest privately held companies in Hawaii and is now traded on the Australian National Stock Exchange. He was president of the worldwide accounting and consulting firm, E.K. Williams & Co from 1986 - 1994. Bill is Alexander Hewitt's business partner in Denver. Bill was formerly the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of AmeriVest Properties, a publicly traded REIT from 1998 - 2005. Bill has four children. Walter is a fourth generation San Franciscan. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Menlo School of Business Administration in 1972. He then attended the University of Santa Clara in the MBA program and spent one year at the Sorbonne University in Paris.  He is a trustee of the Beaulieu Vineyard Estate in the Napa Valley of California. Walter continues as the third generation in the real estate business as well as invests in venture capital. This director serves on boards involved in education, the environment, and the health sector. Walter lives and works in San Francisco, the Napa Valley, and on his family's property in Toulouse, France.
